RTJ at Hampton Cove

I played both days of the weekend for a change. Saturday on the River and Sunday on the Highlands course. I played OK but the courses were in great condition, The greens are a whole lot better and the fairways are really greening up. My congratulations to Steve , Jason and Marshal for doing such a great job.

Masters

I finally got to go and see for myself what all the hoobla was about! All I can say is that it is awesome. Ignoring the golf course, the conditions, the pro shop, just seeing all the pros from close by and watching them struggle or just cream a drive was worth it. I got to tell you it was very cold both Saturday and Sunday mornings specially if you didn't have a lot of cloths on ,like me. The cold was really penetrating and went all the way to the bones, but what the hell, I was there and all those wonderful guys were there too so I thought I would just hang in there and bear it. I stood on the side of the #2 tee box and was just 3 yards away from them when they got to the tee box. I watched close, saw their alignment and their swings. Just awesome. Most all of them were not saying a word to the folks watching them except for Fuzzy Zoller and Ben Crenshaw. I guess they are the old school and still say howdy to the gallery. I tried to go everywhere I could. I spent a lot of time on #18 green on Saturday and watched till Tiger Woods came through and then I left! I spent most of Sunday behind #7 green. What a good point to be at. I could see #2 approach, #3 tee box, #8 2nd shot and of course the approach and putting on #7 green. Awesome. And the ending was even more exciting. Looked like Tiger was going to pull it off again but......
Oh yeah, I did look for two days trying to find a weed but couldn't, imagine that.
